The single most important thing your child can learn to help them pass the 11 plus exam

What’s the single most important thing your child can learn to help them pass the 11 plus exam?

Research skills?
Memory techniques?
How to copy someone else’s answers without getting caught?

I hope you didn’t think it was that last one! But it may surprise you to know that academic ability is only half of the battle when it comes to passing exams under pressure.

The secret ingredient to success is CONFIDENCE.

In our tutoring sessions, everything we do is geared towards nurturing a sense of confidence in our students:

  • We teach in small groups so that they get all the attention they need to develop their skills at a pace that’s right for them.
  • Our exam prep is intentionally more challenging than the exam itself so that they are over-prepared for the final assessment.
  • We encourage the children to answer questions in front of each other. This means they get feedback and encouragement from the other students and they get a huge sense of achievement from doing this.

I’m always so proud when their confidence grows to the point that they can present their working-out to the rest of the class!

Join us at our open evening

If you’d like to come and find out how Super Tutoring could support your child with the 11 plus exam, we are running an open evening in Chorlton on Tuesday 15th October 2019 between 4pm and 6pm. Find out how we’ve enabled children to gain entry to some of the region’s top grammar schools. Your own children are welcome to attend, and if there’s room in the lesson they can even join in!

If you know someone who might be interested, please let them know so they can come along as well. The more the merrier!
